Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage that Window Quote Match uses. Last updated: July 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies, such as
localStorage, store data in the same way. We use them to remember where your visit came from so
that any enquiry you submit is attributed to the right campaign.
Cookies we set
When you arrive on the site we set first-party marketing-attribution values. These are stored both as
wml_* cookies and in your browser’s local storage:
| Name | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign,
wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content |
Record the marketing campaign, medium and term that referred you, so an enquiry is attributed correctly. | 90 days |
wml_ advertising click identifiers (for example wml_gclid,
wml_fbc, wml_fbp) |
Store ad-click identifiers passed in the landing URL to measure advertising performance. | 90 days |
wml_landing_url |
Remembers the first page you landed on, submitted with your enquiry. | 90 days |
These are strictly first-party and are used only for attribution and service improvement. They are not used to track you across other websites.
Tag manager and analytics
We may later enable a tag manager to load analytics such as Google Analytics or advertising pixels. When that
happens, those tools set their own cookies (for example _ga and _ga_* for Google
Analytics, or _fbp/_fbc for Meta). This policy will be updated to list them, and any
non-essential tags will load only with your consent where required.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking our wml_* cookies will not
stop you using the site or submitting the form — it only affects how accurately your enquiry is
attributed.
